Vlatua Terms of Use and End User License Agreement

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement ("Agreement") govern your use of the Vlatua mobile application and related services ("Service").

By downloading, installing, or using Vlatua, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Vlatua is licensed, not sold, to you.

 

2. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Vlatua.

By using the Service, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

 

3. License Grant

Subject to this Agreement, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple App Store rules.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to access source code

  • Distribute or sublicense the app

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes

 

4. Accounts and Anonymity

Vlatua allows users to:

  • Create newspapers (group spaces)

  • Post content under a username

  • Post anonymously within newspapers

  • Enable or disable anonymous comments (depending on settings)

Important:

  • Anonymous posts are visible to other users without revealing your display identity.

  • However, anonymous activity is still internally associated with an account for moderation, safety, and legal compliance purposes.

  • You are fully responsible for all activity associated with your account.

 

5. User Generated Content Policy

 
5.1 No Tolerance for Abusive Content

 

Vlatua has zero tolerance for objectionable or abusive content.

You may not post or transmit content that includes:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation

  • Hate speech or discrimination

  • Sexual content involving minors

  • Non-consensual intimate imagery

  • Personal data shared without consent

  • Violence or incitement

  • Illegal activity

  • Spam or scams

Violation may result in immediate removal and permanent suspension.

 

6. Moderation and Safety

Vlatua implements the following safety mechanisms:

  • ML-based automated content filtering to detect abuse

  • User reporting tools

  • Admin moderation rights (admins can remove posts within newspapers)

  • User blocking system

  • Immediate post deletion by content owner

  • Hide from feed functionality

  • Newspaper-level user visibility controls

 

6.1 Reporting and Review Process

Users may report content via in-app reporting tools or by contacting:

askvlatua@gmail.com

All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Objectionable content is removed and offending accounts may be suspended or permanently banned.

 

7. Blocking and Content Control

Users can:

  • Block other users

  • Hide posts from their feed

  • Remove their own posts immediately

  • Control visibility within newspapers

Blocked users cannot interact with or view restricted content.

 

8. Chat and Direct Messaging

Vlatua includes chat and direct messaging features.

Users are responsible for their communications. Abuse in private messages is subject to the same moderation and enforcement policies described above.

Private newspapers may be invite-only.

 

9. Subscriptions and Billing

Vlatua offers auto-renewing subscriptions, including:

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Annual

Free trials may be available.

Payments are processed through Apple App Store.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period.

Users may manage subscriptions in Apple ID account settings.

 

10. Data Collection

Vlatua may collect:

  • Email address

  • Username

  • Profile photo

  • Location data (when posting or enabled by user)

  • Device identifiers

  • Analytics data (e.g., Mixpanel)

Data is used to:

  • Provide and improve the Service

  • Enable location-based features

  • Moderate content

  • Prevent abuse and fraud

  • Analyze usage patterns

11. Termination

Access to the Service may be suspended or terminated at any time for violations of this Agreement or for safety reasons.

 

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.

 

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

 

14. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.
